Warden* and Confine Small Emergencies Training*

Participants will learn how to implement emergency procedures and the responsibilities and duties of a warden. Participants will also learn how to use a fire extinguisher to extinguish a small fire.
Introduction:
Chubb's warden training provides you with the knowledge and skills to effectively perform the duties of a warden and/or floor area warden. The course meets the training requirements for ECO members as set out in the Australian Standard 3745 Planning for emergencies in facilities.
Participants will also be introduced to the various types of portable fire fighting equipment that are commonly found in the workplace. The course covers basic fire safety and how to correctly handle and use equipment such as fire extinguishers, hose reels and fire blankets.

Learning Methods:
This course is delivered over 6 hours. This course includes a practical fire extinguisher component. Please ensure you wear suitable clothing including long pants and enclosed footwear.
Assessment is through a combination of short written questions and practical activities. Participants are required to understand the main ideas in documents such as safety data sheets or an emergency plan, write at least one paragraph and participate in basic oral communication to successfully complete this course.
