Learners will develop the skills and knowledge to respond to workplace accidents.
Introduction:
This course will help you develop the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid to a sick or injured person before emergency services or medical aid arrives.
Provide First Aid is a nationally recognised training course and meets the requirements or workers who have a duty of care as a First Aider under workplace health and safety legislation. This course is suitable for people undertaking first aid training for the first time and those wanting to renew existing first aid qualifications.

Target Audience:
Learning Outcomes:
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Learning Methods:
This course is delivered as a one day workshop however approx. 2-3 hours of online self study must be completed prior to the training. You need internet access and a digital device such as a computer or tablet to complete the eLearning component of the course.
Assessment will be conducted through short answer written questions and demonstration of practical first aid and CPR skills. Please note that all students are required to perform a practical demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the floor.

- Read and understand first aid procedures and instructions which combine images and simple text
- Fill in the details on a routine first aid incident report form
- Provide a brief verbal report about a first aid incident
