Fire Safety Advisor*

A nationally recognised course designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be a fire safety adviser.
 

Introduction:

Under the Queensland Building and Fire Safety Regulation 2008 high occupancy buildings must appoint a fire safety adviser. A fire safety adviser must hold the current building fire safety qualification. Successful completion of Chubb's fire safety adviser training will ensure you have the required building fire safety qualification. 

Chubb' fire safety adviser course is nationally recognised and designed to give participants the required skills and knowledge to perform the duties of a fire safety adviser.

  • PUAFER001 Identify, prevent and report potential facility emergency situations
  • PUAFER002 Ensure facility emergency prevention procedures, systems, and processes are implemented
  • PUAFER003 Manage and monitor facility emergency procedures, equipment and other resources
  • PUAFER004 Respond to facility emergencies
  • PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
  • PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation
  • PUAFER007 Manage an emergency control organisation
  • PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in a facility

Learning Methods:

This course is delivered in two days. 

Assessment is conducted through a combination of short answer written questions and practical demonstration. Participants are required to read and understand information presented in different ways such as safety data sheets or an emergency plan, write at least one paragraph and communicate clearly to successfully complete this course.

Chubb also delivers a fire safety adviser recertification course to update you fire safety skills and knowledge. To remain current, a fire safety adviser must hold a building fire safety qualification issued within the last three years.
